Very light. Patented leather seems good.

First Adidas Original purchase esp this model. On the box says for women but I don’t understand why and I don’t care anyway as it looks unisex to me. First glance very light even weirdly light. Sole is thin but not in a bad way, but more like you will feel like walking closer to Earth. The way it was packed lacked the paper stuffing inside, so the shape was a bit squashed or wide a little. But I guess the more you wear it will keep its shape. Patented leather looks good. I know the pricing is not luxury but the style especially Japan, should be a limited edition or feels special. It certainly does not, it’s just another shoe in a standard box. Regardless, I love the unique design anyway. It’s comfortable. There is support to my bottom foot arch which feels different to my other flat trainers. One weird quirk is, whenever I walk, the back of it feels like it’s about to come off and I’m walking pushing my foot more towards the front of the shoe.

Buying every one I can!

I have bony feet, delicate skin that seems to tear if you look at it, extremely high arches and crippling pain in left foot from severe arthritis of previously broken bones --so my feet are a PAIN. These shoes are so comfortable! They support my feet so well, I can walk comfortably. No blisters even without socks. Super cute, slim profile that I feel I can wear even with formal clothing. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Normally I wear a size 8 (sometimes a 7.5 because some shoes run larger) but had to size down to a 7 in this shoe.

Super cute and comfortable

The Adidas Japan Low are so cute. I purchased them in the red and orange color and love them. I really didn’t know what size to get after reading the reviews and thought my normal size 7.5 would be big plus this color was always sold out so when the size 7 became available that’s the size I purchased. So these are interesting. They fit but the toe box seems narrow compared to the Sambas. I think my actual size 7.5 would have fit worn with socks but I don’t like wearing socks with this type of shoe so I’ll keep the 7. The one thing I didn’t like was receiving shoes delivered in a bag with a smashed box! Nordstrom really needs to STOP shipping shoes in a bag. There isn’t a shoe box that would make it through the delivery process in good shape. I also noticed in another review that she received an additional pair of colored laces, my shoes came with only one white pair and they didn’t have a colored tip like I’ve seen on some pictures. Plus my sole also wasn’t secured and will have to glue it.

Cute but a few drawbacks

I have been so excited for these! They look as good in person as they do online. The styling is perfect! I LOVE the color! They have great arch support for such a flat looking shoe. What I am not loving is that 1) they run long/narrow/small. Size a half size down. If you have wide feet these likely won’t work. Even though they fit I feel like the toe area juts out too much and they are narrow/snug on the sides. Because they are so long they bend oddly at the toe 2) causing some discomfort on the big toe as the leather creases inward when I walk. While they are comfortable overall this may be the dealbreaker and I may be sending these back. I’m trying to guess if the leather will soften with time and make this less noticeable or if this is going to dig into my toes too much and cause blisters (see picture). 3) The interior fabric is super soft and shiny, causing my feet to slide around in the shoe. This is most noticeable at the heel. If I keep them I will likely have to install heel grips. Not something I’m happy to do at this price point.

Poor quality

Loved the look of these sneakers, but unfortunately the material did not hold up well at all. After wearing them only once, the hair/pony hair texture on the heels rubbed off significantly, most likely from normal driving. I expected delicate materials to require care, but not to show this level of wear after a single use. Very disappointing durability for the price.

Love these comfy kicks!

Was worried about these sneakers fitting/looking not right on me, but I was wrong! I love them so much, I can't even tell you!! They are my new favorite even over some of my designer sneakers. Love the Japan vibes and the color is so great! They are so comfortable, I want to wear them all the time. Tied them low for easy slip on. Might need other colors!

cute comfortable but not high quality

These are very cute and have been in my constant rotation since buying them. They are very lightweight and comfortable as well. However after wearing only once and mostly indoors, they already appeared to have wear and tear. I spoke to someone else who has a pair who feels the same way. The suede portions appeared to have significant fading after 2 wears. I still enjoy them however I do not expect them to last me very long.
