adidas Men's Run 70s 2.0 Shoes

Retro style, cute & comfy

I’m an adidas gal. It’s my go-to brand. Bought these in red to go with a vintage-inspired outfit for a team sporting event. I typically wear an adidas women’s 10.5 which gives me enough toe box room to wear thicker socks. I also have a narrow foot & heel, with a high arch. Bought these in 10.5. Wore them all day today. Thicker socks added too much bulk, so I wore thinner socks. Had to swap out the insoles for full length ones w arch support because there’s none otherwise. The heel slips badly, between just not being shaped enough to cup it and being made of vinyl lining. No lacing pattern improved the heel slippage but as long as i don’t skip the top holes, I won’t walk right out of them! My feet did get hot as the day went on but these look so cute on my feet and were otherwise pretty comfy that I’m willing to overlook those things. I wouldn’t run in these, too much slippage & not enough cushioning. But for street wear, they are a keeper.

Insole appears to have been cut slightly narrow

Overall great fashionable trainer with nice corded laces and retro aesthetic. Goes well with most outfits. Very comfortable and could wear all day. Fit and width is as expected based on other Adidas trainers iPhone before the only downside was that the insole had been cut slightly to narrow for the width of the shoe so I could feel the under soul on my foot which is an unusual dropping policy for adidas

These are not true to size

These shoes are not true to size. I received a pair for my birthday and got half a size larger than I normally wear. After my first run in them, my run turned into a walk and then limp home. I ended up with quarter sized blisters on both heels. I ordered my normal size (size 10) in regular tennis shoes and the running shoes that are supposed to be half a size larger are smaller.

Crinkle sound at the toe bend

Love the style and fit, don't love the crinkle sound that the toebox makes on the white nylon style. But after a while I tune it out.

Three stripes still the best.

Well made - good materials, comfortable, good-looking, like the slightly-waxed(?) laces. Tops are like I used to wear while the soles give the comfort that the thinner-soled originals could never quite achieve. An extra half-size was good advice - perfect fit. (Adidas purchaser for nearly 60 years - can I be wrong?).
