The Material is Different
I first bought this shirt in Earthen. It felt good and washed up good - no ironing required. I then bought the same shirt in Blue Sage and Rapids. Both of these colors require ironing, not to maintain a starched look but to keep the pockets, collar, and hem from rolling. Also, the Blue Sage has shrunk. The Earthen and Rapids have the same measurements while the Blue Sage is smaller in length and width. All are washed identically, and often together. I don’t recall the Blue Sage feeling any smaller when it was new. I’d go up a size because they’re going to shrink even in cold water, and if you’d prefer to leave the iron in the closet you should skip the Blue Sage and Rapids colors. They’re nice shirts but it’s like they aren’t made of the same material.
