It's Good, But Only Sometimes
Now, when it's good, it's really good. My current tubes of Cherries in the Snow and Sassy Mauve are well-pigmented, creamy, and easy to apply, and I've had great luck with Pink Velvet, Rose Velvet, and Rum Raisin in the past.
However, sometimes I've run into sheer, streaky colors that look very different from what I thought I was getting. Black Cherry and Mauvy Night were both abysmally patchy, requiring a lot more work just to make them even on my lips. Just overall such a disappointment in formula and application.
Then there's the scent a lot of these suddenly gain after just a couple of months. I'm surprised I've never seen anyone mention it before, but after a time, these lipsticks can have a very off-putting metallic-y chemical-y scent. It makes me feel sick to my stomach, and I usually end up tossing them once that happens. Better to be safe than sorry.
All that to say, I will use the tubes I have currently in my collection, and then I'll probably never buy another. The Russian Roulette of quality control isn't worth it, no matter how much money I'm supposedly saving.

Great low cost alternative (not dupe) to higher cost lipsticks
As a newbie to lipstick shades I believe I found the approach that works. Get a lipstick that will be within your contrast level. So for medium contrast, like me, a lipstick that was exactly the color of my lips did not look as flattering as one that was contrasting, but not so much (such as with reds
I tried Blushed in pearl and mauvy night in creme. I ended up going with the latter. The versions of the pearl formulation reflect more light/shimmer from the lips. As a medium contrast face the Blushed pearl sat flat and was (perhaps) made flatter with the reflection of light.
Choosing revlon lustrous lipstick was in my efforts of finding a lower cost dupe to Clinique lipsticks. This is definitely a good option but does not exactly translate as it is not long wear and feels like it sits on top of the lips and is not as moisturizing. As a result it will be easier to see the wrinkles on the lips. However, I’m currently in a place where I don’t feel like spending so much money on a lipstick, as I have done in the past only to stop using them after a while, so I’m going to stick with Revlon. For under $10 I am thankful to have this option. I do wish that lipstick companies would sell little swatches of lipstick to order so people could find their match more easily, without having to purchase and return.

Texture:Smooth application: Glides easily and doesn’t cling to dry patches
Effectiveness:The effectiveness of Raisin Rage really comes down to how well it performs on the lips and overall, it delivers very well for an everyday lipstick. It provides buildable color payoff, meaning you can get a soft tint or a richer, more defined look in just a few swipes, while still feeling lightweight and smooth on the lips . The formula is highly moisturizing, thanks to conditioning ingredients, so it helps keep lips soft and prevents that dry, cracked look
The Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Raisin Rage is a beautifully warm reddish-copper lipstick that gives a classy, effortless look, especially flattering on morena skin tones, with a creamy, lightweight formula that glides smoothly and feels comfortable on the lips, though it may require reapplication after a few hours since it isn’t transfer-proof.

Benefits:Since it's a creme lipstick, it hydrates my lips. It doesn't feel dry after long hours of wearing. The pigment is buildable. You can start lightly by tapping application or go full with swipe application. It doesn't feel heavy on the lips and great for dewy make-up looks.
User Tips:Do tap-tap application if you want a natural looking lips and it helps to build pigment. For full lips, do the swipe application with some lip liner.
Beauty Profile:Medium-Tan skin with neutral undertone. It looks like nude on me with a hint of pink.

Lightweight Mineral Powder That Gives a Natural, Flawless Finish
The Jolie Mineral Loose Foundation Powder feels very lightweight and comfortable on my skin while still providing beautiful coverage. The shade blends easily and helps even out my complexion without looking cakey. I love how versatile it is — I can wear it alone for a natural look or over liquid foundation to set my makeup. It wears well throughout the day and removes easily without irritating my skin.

Benefits:easy to apply, smooth formula; color can be built-up however you please
Packaging:chic and simple
A perfect mlbb shade !! For reference, i have neutral-warm undertone and my skintone is light-medium.
I've been looking for the Teddy Tint's Heart Locket dupe for quite some time now—it's the only shade i've ever considered to be my mlbb—but i dislike the formula's tackiness and stickiness, hence how i'd ended up purchasing this particular shade from Revlon!
Heart Locket definitely has more warmer, slight orangey tones in contrast to Rose Velvet that has more pink and brown tones. I would say Rose Velvet is even better as my mlbb! I love the very equal pink and brown tones in the shade very much; the formula is creamy and exceptionally smooth to apply, it also has a nice sheen to it! It's not transfer-proof but that's the customary for lipsticks so it's no surprise.
All in all, this lipstick and this shade easily became my go-to! Now i have to stock up in case it sells out again. 😆
